This piece of promotion was for a yoga school in hong kong. The promotion was extremly cost effective as straws are fairly cheap, the use of the bendy part of the straw is genious. It turned out that the promtion was extremly sucessful as enrollment figures rose after the promotion.

This is a great example of using a medium that enhances the concept and only makes the message more effective. Simple yet original - you dont often get images printed on straws so you would be bound to look. The figure bending as you bend the straw draws on the desire/want to be more fit/flexible and communicates yoga at the Yoga Centre as the means by which to achieve this desire. As long as the straws are used in places visited by the target market, a highly effective ambient media campaign.
I agree the action of flexibitly is emphaised greatly by the bending of the straw.
An inexpensive, cost effective way of promotion. Very clever way of using an everyday object to strengthen the concept.
thats a great use of advertising with such a cheap and easy medium! Much more effective than a flyer or poster anyday!
This is the kind of stuff we need to be creating easy said than done but so simple, especially as these are easy to get into the publics hands - literally and as already said straws are usually dead space - until now.
